"Webpage Error" pops up on Internet Explorer when trying to use Connect


When visiting a site where Connect must be launched for web transfers, a Webpage Error pop up appears with the following message: Access is denied.

This error usually indicates that the Connect browser plugin has been disabled, and can be resolved by re-enabling it.


Click the gear icon in the top right window of IE. Select Internet Options and click the Programs tab. From here, click Manage add-ons.

Make sure Toolbars and Extensions is selected on the left. Look for Aspera, Inc in the list of add-ons. Right click Aspera Web and select Enable.

Close the window. Refresh the page you were on.
