WHAT'S NEW

Welcome to this release of IBM Aspera Cargo. Cargo 1.6.1 is a maintenance release.

ISSUES FIXED IN THIS RELEASE

ASCR-24 - When you upgrade to the current version of Cargo, your existing asperacargod.conf file is retained, using the same filename. The installer program also installs a new blank configuration file, asperacargod.conf.new.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Your Faspex server must have a license enabled for Cargo.

Linux: Linux 32- or 64-bit system (GLIB 2.9 and higher). Ubuntu 10.04+, RHEL/CentOS 6.0+, SUSE Linux Enterprise server 11 (x86_64) with kernel 3.0.13-0.27-default, OpenSUSE 12.2 with kernel 3.4, or Debian 6.0+.

Mac OS X: 10.8 or higher; Intel only

Windows: XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10

Note: After installing Cargo, you must edit the Cargo configuration file. For details, see the Aspera Cargo User Guide.

KNOWN ISSUES

ASCR-25 - [Mac OS X only] The Cargo uninstall script can erroneously be run without the sudocommand.
