You may need to change an admin's account details if you've forgotten the password. Normally admin accounts can change any user account's details on the web interface for Console. Therefore if you've forgotten your admin password and there is another admin account with access to Console, you can change your password with that other account. However if you do not have access to another admin account you will have to change the password from the command line on the machine running your Console server. This is a secure way of doing so as it requires administrator access on this machine.
From a command line you can use the following to change the Console admin account details, replacing username, email and password with your desired values:
asctl console:admin_user username email password
For example, if your admin username is admin1 and its email is email@example.com, you would use the following to update the password to secret:
asctl console:admin_user admin1 firstname.lastname@example.org secret
You can also change the admin's email this way, by using a new email address:
asctl console:admin_user admin1 email@example.com secret
Note that if the admin account with your specified username does not exist, this command will create a new admin account with the username, email and password you provided.
