Where are the Shares logs located?

This is a reference of the log locations for Shares, which is available for Linux and Windows. These would be useful when you need to send your log files to Aspera for technical support.

Linux

For versions 1.5 to 1.8:

  • /opt/aspera/shares/u/stats-collector/logs which contains:
    • statscollector-admin.log
    • statscollector.log
  • /opt/aspera/shares/u/shares/log which contains:
    • production.log
  • /opt/aspera/shares/var/log/ which contains:
    • shares-background-0/current
    • nginx/access.log
    • nginx/error.log


For version 1.9:

  • /opt/aspera/shares/u/stats-collector/logs which contains:
    • statscollector-admin.log
    • statscollector.log
  • /opt/aspera/shares/u/shares/log which contains:
    • production.log
  • /opt/aspera/shares/var/log/ which contains:
    • shares-background-default-0/current
    • shares-background-nodes-0/current
    • shares-background-users-0/current
    • shares-background-users-1/current
    • shares-background-users-2/current
    • nginx/access.log
    • nginx/error.log

 

Windows

For all versions:

  • C:\Shares\statscollector\logs or C:\shares\statscollector\logs which contains:
    • statscollector-admin.log
  • C:\Shares\www\log or C:\shares\www\log which contains:
    • statscollector.log
    • production logs
  • C:\Shares\nginx\logs which contains:
    • access
    • error
