Why am I seeing connect/info/ping net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED as Connect starts up in Chrome?


When using Connect 3.6 and above with Chrome, you may encounter the following error messages in your Javascript console:




These messages indicate that the Connect application has not yet launched, which is why it appears that a connection to it could not be made. Communication to the Connect application is attempted as it is starting up, but before Connect is ready to receive any communication. You will notice that the messages continue to repeat until the application has fully launched, at which point the messages cease.

These errors therefore do not affect functionality or indicate any problem, and they are only visible within a Javascript debugging console.
