Updating an Aspera Client, Point to Point or Enterprise Server License

A valid and up to date license is required for the use of Aspera Client, Point to Point and Enterprise Server. You may update the license at any time through the GUI application of your product using the following instructions.

1. Launch your Aspera Client, Point to Point or Enterprise Server application and click on Tools in the top menu bar. Select License...

2. A window will appear with information about your current license. At the top you have two different options for updating the license. You can import a license file, such as the one you may have received in an authorization email from Aspera, or you can also paste in the contents of your license directly.

3. The license information displayed in the window should update once you have imported or pasted the license, and if it is correct you can click Close.

4. If you are using the Node API, there is one additional step. You must reload the asperanoded service through the command line.

For Linux, use the following command:
/opt/aspera/bin/asnodeadmin --reload

For Mac OS X, use the following command:
/Library/Aspera/bin/asnodeadmin --reload

For Windows, use the following command:
asnodeadmin.exe --reload
