faspex 2.0.2 Release Notes
Version 2.0.2
Created: December 23, 2010

What's New

  • Adds a token service to allow for downloads of packages with multiple files using external applications.
  • Adds logging of attempted unauthorized package accesses.
  • Modifies the inbox service to add package-level fasp URLs in the returned feed for entire-package downloads.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixes a security issue where under certain conditions faspex users could access unauthorized packages.
  • Fixes an issue with improper URI encoding of fasp URLs. (#8553)
  • Fixes the inbox service to list only packages that have been completely uploaded to the Faspex server.

Known Issues

  • FASP URLs with URI-encoded square brackets or carets are not handled properly in Aspera Connect.  When attempting to send a package with any of these special characters, the Aspera Connect transfer window opens, but a transfer never starts.  The error message that is displayed is "Error - Server aborted session: Management authorization refused: token denied by server (Code: 34)" (#8599)
