Release Notes: IBM Aspera Orchestrator 2.5.1

Product Release: June 29, 2016

Release Notes Updated: June 29, 2016

This release of IBM Aspera Orchestrator for Windows and Linux provides the new features, fixes, and other changes listed below.

New Features

  • The user can now copy and paste an individual step in the workflow designer. (Batch copying and pasting is not available at the present time.)
Note: After copying and pasting a step, the user needs to configure and save that individual step before saving the workflow as a whole; otherwise, the step will be flagged with an error (a red border around the step).
  • The Platform plugin is now located in the Asset management category.

ORC-765 - When upgrading to 2.5.0, users' frames are duplicated, and work orders remain in a created state, which is caused by the Engine not starting fully. This issue worsens when the Engine is restarted multiple times.

ORC-763 - Keyboard shortcuts are not working as expected. For example, if the user types Shift+A inside a parameter name (while on Chrome and Firefox), all the steps in the workflow are selected. This is incorrect behavior; Shift+A is supposed to capitalize a letter in a word.

ORC-741 - Following the successful importing of a workflow, the file name is not displayed in the Import Workflow success message; it appears as an empty string between the ending single quotes:
Workflow 'Lookup Table' successfully imported from file ''

ORC-730 - In the workflow designer, an incorrectly configured parameter causes a Javascript exception in Console and is unable to proceed with the action. There is no error notification.
