Minor Release: IBM Aspera Shares on Demand 3.6.2 for AWS and SoftLayer

We are pleased to announce the general release of IBM Aspera Shares on Demand 3.6.2 for AWS and SoftLayer.  This minor release integrates the latest versions of Aspera Enterprise ServerAspera Shares, and Aspera Console into the current machine images for deployment on cloud.  

New Shares Features

  • IPv6 support is now enabled by default. 
  • New management REST API lets admins manage Shares without the admin console
  • Administrators can now see the account status and expiration date on the users admin page 
  • Activity now includes Node API activity 
  • New rake tasks to export a share's name and directory as well as configure a custom logo
  • Improved SAML functionality and logging
  • Updated versions of Ruby on Rails, OpenSSL, and Nginx

New Server Features

  • Support for Amazon KMS encryption when uploading to S3
  • Support for Amazon's new Infrequent Access storage option
  • Command line support for multiple SSH private keys
  • Support for encryption at rest (EAR) configuration within watchfolders
  • Improved transfer resume support for FIPS-140 compatible cipher sets
  • Improved support for cache-control on Amazon S3
  • Periodic synchronization scans on remote systems
  • Inclusion filter with Console smart transfers
  • Azure support now includes storage to blob pages
  • Improved performance when deleting a large number of files on Azure
  • Security updates for key exchange
