Windows - Faspex Node Poller (NP) not starting after Spectre / Meltdown patch

On Windows, after applying the Spectre / Meltdown patched described in this article

the Aspera Faspex NP Background may not start at boot due to some concurrency issues with MySQL process.

The resolution is to modify the service and set the start to Automated (Delayed Start).

From

then click Apply and OK.

If the method above doesn't work as expected you can edit the following file

C:\Program Files (x86)\Aspera\Faspex\lib\daemons\np\config\persistence.xml

adding the line

<property name="hikaricp.initializationFailFast" value="false"/>

to properties section like the picture below
